Hi Everyone, welcome to my life.  This is my webpage that Mommy is helping me make so that you can watch me grow.  It's so neat that I have people that love me all over the United States.  I love you too.

If you will recall, I was born on the last Thursday in May.  On the last Saturday in May my Aunt Erin married my Uncle Mike.  I took my first long car ride to Davenport, IA to go to the wedding.  It was a fun day.  I was able to meet a lot of my new family.  Aunt Erin looked very pretty in her dress.

Here I am snoozing in my bed.  I am 2 weeks old.  I went to the doctor earlier this week and guess what I weighed: 11 pounds, 6 ounces and I was 23 inches long.  Wow!  I am growing fast.  No wonder I have to sleep so much, I am a very busy person.

Daddy is getting ready to give me a sponge bath.  I am sure that I did not like it, but didn't Mommy  take a nice picture?

On June 11 I took a long car ride to Ames, Iowa, because my Grandma Betsy was being ordained at the United Methodist Conference.  I am glad that I was there for her special day, although  I have to admit I didn't catch much of the ceremony.  (Do you like the bow in my hair?)

This is me with my Grandma Betsy and Mommy after the ceremony.  Grandma had fun showing me off to all of her friends.

Finally, at three weeks old I was able to spend some time at home.  Mommy helped me look out the kitchen window.
I am starting to work on my smile.  My first smile was on June 24th, a week after this picture was taken.  I smiled up at Mommy in the morning after I had a nice sleep.

In the beginning of July Daddy, Mommy and I went to a Go Fish concert in Coralville, IA.  It was outside, so I had to  wear a hat and sunglasses to protect me from the sun.  I have to say,  at five  weeks old, I made quite the fashion statement.

Here I am at the concert sitting on Daddy's lap.  Lucky for us we were able  to get some shade. I stayed awake for the whole concert.  Way to go me!

The day after the concert we took a car ride for a long weekend visit to Illinois.  On the way to visit some of Daddy's college friends, we stopped to visit Aunt Erin and Uncle Mike.  Aunt Erin was excited to see me, but her kitty wouldn't come out from under the bed.  Oh well.

After some more driving we finally made it to my Daddy's friend's apartment in Chicago.  It was nice meeting everyone.  Although, there were a few familiar faces from the day that I  was born.

Here I am showing off one of my new talents at seven weeks old.  Yes, that's right, I can now suck on my  thumb.  This week I went to visit the doctor again and boy have I grown.  The nurse weighed me in at 14 pounds, 14 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long.  I also got my first set of vaccinations at this visit.  Let's just say:  yes, I cried, yes I got a little fever, and yes, I was grumpy for the next two days. That is all I am going to say about that.
