Lance
Boy did I have an exciting time right around when I turned 2 months old.  Mommy and Daddy took me to Coralville, IA to see the bike rider Lance Armstrong.  People at the park were giving out yellow bandanas and Daddy put his on me.  It was a good way to keep the sun off of my head.  Lance talked and Daddy took his picture.  There were a lot of people there.

In August my great-grandpa Piette passed away.  My daddy told me that he was a good man that shared many of Daddy's hobbies and interests.  I think that it is because of Great-Grandpa that Daddy was so excited about buying and riding his motorcyle.  At the gravesite we took a rose from the casket.  I never met Great-Grandpa, but Daddy and Mommy tell me about him and  luckily I will get to talk to him one day in heaven. 


On our way home from the funeral, we stopped and visited with my great-grandpa and great-grandma Hyzer.  They own a little farm in Reedsburg. WI.  We had a nice time together before we had to get back in the car and head home.

Mommy says that it is a phase, I say that it is more of a hobby, but either way, at 2 1/2 months  I started putting everything into my mouth.  Here I am chewing on kitty.  Well, I guess that I should say, 'here I am gumming kitty', since I don't have any teeth yet.  Kitty tastes pretty good, although, nothing like our cat Cosy. 


When the weather is nice out, Mommy takes me outside for walks. This is one of my outfits for the walk.  I am wearing shorts and a baseball cap for the first time.  Grandma Betsy got me the hat.  I don't think that you can see it in the picture, but it has my initials on it.... G.A.P.  How cool is that?

I am working on holding my head up.  It really isn't as easy as  I make it look.  I like to look at my 101 Dalmations book.  I smile when  I  see it and it holds my attention for a while.

Near the end of August a huge box came in the mail for me.  Boy was I suprised when I saw the awsome highchair that some of Daddy's friends got for me.  Daddy put it together for me and I just had to sit in it right away.  I am not eatting any soilds yet, but it is sure fun sitting up high at the table with Mommy and Daddy.  Thanks guys for the great highchair!
